We put on our own concerts in London at St John’s Downshire Hill, Hampstead, and in Norwich at The Octagon Chapel.

St John’s Downshire Hill, Hampstead

St John’s is a medium-sized but intimate and acoustically excellent church. Concerts can be enjoyed from any part of the building.

Tickets

Tickets prices are as follows:

£17.50 for seats on the ground floor (cushioned, modern chairs and padded side-pews)

£10 for seats upstairs in the gallery (most of these seats have restricted views)

A season ticket for Bach Players concerts in 2017 (Stabat Mater, In the Company of Godds, Sound the trumpet!) costs £45.

If you prefer to pay with a bank card over the phone, then call TicketSource on 0333 666 3366 (9 am to 7 pm, Monday to Friday; 9 am to 5 pm, Saturday)

On the evening of the concert, we sell tickets on the door:

  • Full-time students with proof of status can buy tickets for £5
  • Under-18s are admitted free
  • We do not offer any other concessions

St John’s is on the corner of Downshire Hill and Keats Grove

By tube: to Hampstead or Belsize Park (Northern Line)
By bus: 24, 46, 168, 268, C11
By train: to Hampstead Heath (London Overground)
By car: parking around the church is very limited until 8 pm, when it becomes free for visitors. However, on Rosslyn Hill and Haverstock Hill, about 5 minutes’ walk from the church, parking becomes free for visitors after 6 pm: zones CA-H and CA-B on this map.

£12.50 for seats in the gallery (views are still good)

A season ticket for Bach Players concerts in 2017 (Stabat Mater, In the Company of Gods, Sound the trumpet!) costs £45.

Getting there

The Octagon Chapel

The Octagon Chapel is on the north side of Colegate, between St Georges Street and Magdalen Street.

The Octagon is about 15 minutes walk from either the bus station or train station. There is no public parking at the chapel, but there is a large public pay-and-display car park at Golden Dog Lane, which is five minutes walk away.
